DoubleClick by Google helps businesses connect with the right people in the right moments and drive higher ROI by making digital advertising efforts more effective. Here are some things you can expect from the DoubleClick/Grow integration.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • DoubleClick Publisher and Advertising reports. The DoubleClick/Grow integration is currently designed to pull DoubleClick Search reports. It does not offer a connection to Publisher or Advertising reports.
  • Segments, Attributes, & Metrics: The data you pull in from DoubleClick will be one of three types. Segments will group and sum any metrics pulled in on a certain level, whether by date, activity, group, among others. Attributes are account-specific data, such as IDs and names of entities, and are typically used to filter data in Grow. Metrics are measurements, and most often come in integers— percentages, dollars, counts, etc.
  • Choosing Columns. For a full list of the column names available from DoubleClick, check out their API docs here. Select “Types of Reports” in the left sidebar and select the report that you want to pull. This will bring up all the columns available for that report. Once you pick the columns you want to use, you'll list them in Grow in the Columns field by a comma-separated list.
  • Segmenting by Date. In order to segment by date, you’ll include the date column in the Columns bar. Each report has different levels of granularity, so you can pick from day ("date"), week, and month. Make sure with segments larger than a day (i.e. week or month) that you include both the "start" column as well as the "end" column. You'll also pick a date from Grow's drop-down list, and the column you have chosen will summarize your data within the date range you selected from Grow.
  • Some reports require IDs. You can get IDs in a separate report by entering the column name (i.e. accountId) into the Columns field.
