If you have already set up your MWS developer account, here is how to find your credentials to connect your account to Grow.
First, go to https://developer.amazonservices.com/. Click the "Sign up or manage Amazon MWS" link and enter your credentials.
And you’re in!
If Amazon prompts you to enable 2-factor auth (they prompt everyone eventually), it might take you to the standard Amazon Seller Central account. Just go back to this page and sign in to get to your MWS page.
Next, we'll get the information to connect your account.
The items you will need to connect your account to Grow are as follows:
- Access Key ID
- Secret Access Key
- Merchant ID
- Marketplace ID
- MWS Auth Token (This is optional. Some accounts require this.)
We can find the Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, and Merchant ID on your account page.
First, we’ll get your Merchant ID. (This is listed in Amazon as your Seller ID.) Scroll down to the Amazon MWS Developer Permissions section. In the Your Account Information section, you will see a line for your Seller ID. Copy this value. (It may be helpful to put this in a spreadsheet or document for reference.)
Next, we’ll get your access key ID and secret key.
Below the Your Account Information section, you’ll see the Current Authorizations section. The first line should be your own developer account. Over on the right side, under the Action Taken column, click the View Your Credentials link.
This will bring up a window with your developer account information. The first line has your AWS Access Key ID. (This goes in the Access Key ID field in Grow.) To get your Secret Key, click the blue View link next in the Secret Key field.
Finally, you can get your Marketplace ID by going to this page. You’ll want to check Table 2 on this page for the Marketplace ID.
Copy all these values down.
Then go ahead and log in to your Grow account. Press Add Metric, then select Amazon Seller Central as the data source. Here’s what the connecting page looks like:
Enter the values you copied into the appropriate fields. (Remember---Merchant ID is the same thing as Seller ID inside Amazon, and Access Key ID in Grow is the same as AWS Access Key ID.)
Press Submit, and you’re good to go!
If your account requires the MWS Auth Token, you will get an error when you try to connect saying that it is required. Go ahead and contact your Data Consultant about this.
