In order to connect to your Amazon Seller Central account to Grow, you need the following:
- Access Key ID
- Secret Access Key
- Seller ID
- Marketplace ID
- MWS Auth Token (optional. Some accounts require this, but not all.)
Here is how to get that information.
NOTE: If you have already set up your MWS developer account, check out this article on connecting your account to Grow.
First, go to https://developer.amazonservices.com/. Click the "Sign up or manage Amazon MWS" link and enter your credentials.
Amazon may prompt you to enable 2-factor auth. (They prompt everyone eventually.) It might take you to the standard Amazon Seller account. Just go back to this page and sign in to get to your MWS page.
If you have not set up an MWS developer account, you will see the screen below. Go ahead and click "I want to access my own Amazon seller account with MWS," then press Next.
This will let you sign up for an MWS developer account.
Once you have done this, the success page will give you the credentials you need to connect your account in Grow. On this page, you will want to copy the following:
- Seller ID (this is your Merchant ID in Grow)
- Marketplace ID
- AWS Access Key ID (this is your Access Key ID in Grow)
- Secret Key
Now we can connect in Grow. Go ahead and login to your account. Press Add Metric and select Amazon Seller Central from the list of data sources. You will see the following screen to authenticate your account:
Enter the values you copied into the appropriate fields. (Remember---Merchant ID is the same thing as Seller ID inside Amazon, and Access Key ID in Grow is the same as AWS Access Key ID.)
Press Submit, and you're set to build metrics!
If your account requires the MWS Auth Token, you will get an error when you try to connect saying that it is required. Go ahead and contact your Data Consultant about this.
