Sometimes you may need to use a message body to authenticate to a REST API. Here’s how to do that in Grow.

If the method type you use is POST, you can use a header of content-type : form-data and then use the parameters for the message body.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Request method: POST

  • Key: content-type
  • Value: form-data

Parameters: the key/value pairs for your message body.

Please note that the headers will always be content-type and form-data when sending a message body.

Below are two examples of requests, one in Postman and the same request in Grow.

In this screenshot, the form-data header is outlined, along with the key-value pair for the message body.

Below, in Grow, the headers and parameters are outlined. The request method should be set to POST.
