If you are on a branded plan with Grow, you can set up your SMTP information so Grow can send emails using your email service. This makes it so when you add a new user, the email will come from

We recommend using the Email Setup Instructions instead of using SMTP. However, if you choose to use SMTP instead, you'll find the instructions below.
First, log in to Grow. Go to your Settings and navigate to the Mail tab.
From here, there are two options to setting this feature up. The two sections are called
Email Setup .

If you are using the SMTP option, below are details about what you will need to enter into the fields in the SMTP section.
Host and Port
First, the host and port you enter depend on what service provider you use for your emails.
If you are using Gmail with TLS, you will probably use 587. If you use SSL, the port will be 465. If neither of those work for Gmail, try using port 25.
Because there are many SMTP providers and settings, you will have to rely on your email service provider for documentation and easy answers about what host and which port to use. For example, if you use Mailgun, you can find your SMTP credentials for each domain on your domains tab.
If you need help with this step, please contact us via email or chat and include the host that you use. We might jump on a call with you and help you login to your email provider to find this info.
Set the "from email." This is the email Grow emails will send from, and which your customers will see. support@YourCompany.com is usually a good choice. Make sure that the "from email" address is set up in your system and can receive replies.
User and Password
The username ("User") you enter can be either your FULL email address or just the first part of your email (before the @ symbol). This depends on what your service provider allows.
SendGrid allows just the username before the @ symbol:
On the other hand, Office 365 uses the full email:

In the password field, enter your password for that email.
Gmail and Google Apps
If you use Gmail and Google Apps to send out your business email, you'll need to go through a couple additional steps.
Google has set some special rules regarding third-party access to your account. For Google to authorize a third-party server to access your account via SMTP, you have to enable “Less Secure Apps” on your Gmail account.
You can read a full explanation here about the risks of enabling "Less Secure Apps." Essentially, any apps that aren’t using security protocols that Google deems mandatory will be blocked, unless you enable the ability for less secure apps to access your Gmail account.
Please don’t enable this access unless you fully understand what’s going on and what the possible ramifications are.
If you decide not to enable Less Secure Apps, you can use a different SMTP client to send your emails. There are great services like SendGrid, MailGun, Mandrill, or MailSender. These can be configured to send email from your domain.
Unfortunately this is a Google decision, and Grow can't fix or do alternative mail setup for you. The administration of your mail service would be taken care of by your developers or technical team.
