This article will give you an overview of how to build and use the line chart.
Use Cases
Line Charts are super useful when you are looking to see trends over time. Some of the most frequent use cases we see are sales over time, website traffic, or Facebook impressions over a certain period of time.
If you add multiple data series, you can compare website traffic by source (organic, search, paid, etc.) over time.
Building a Line Chart
To build a line chart, first log in to your Grow account and click Add Metric. Choose your data source, and connect your data.
In Edit Metric, click on Column to reveal the chart type menu. Go ahead and select Line Chart.

Next, you will need to select your data series. When you use a line chart, you can add multiple lines by selecting additional data series.
Once you have selected all of your data series, you can format each series, if you want to change the formatting. The Line Chart has some specific settings unique to this type, like changing the thickness of the line, changing the line style (Solid, Solid with a shadow, Dotted, or Smoothed), and showing round bullets for each data point. Each of these settings are applied to each data series separately.
Finally, be sure to add chart labels and key values to your metric.
