Integrating Grow with Quick Ship

Epicor Quick Ship is a one-stop, multi-carrier shipping software that lets you manage rates and ship via multiple carriers, reduce freight spending, fines and return shipments.

You can now view your Quick Ship data in Grow. Grow enables you to pull your shipment related data like shipping rates, carrier information, etc., present in Quick Ship into Grow, warehouse it, and view it in a Grow dashboard. This helps you to easily find what happens in the shipment process.

Grow has already configured dashboard for your use. Once you connect your Quick Ship database to Grow, data from various tables are retrieved, joined, and displayed as metrics in your dashboard. Play around with the metrics, copy them, edit them and place them where you want!

Now, let's look at the default Quick Ship dashboard, and the reports that make it.

Exploring Quick Ship Dashboard in Grow

  • In Grow, data is periodically pulled from the database, warehoused, and reports are created for analyzing the data later. You can toggle ON and OFF the tables you want to warehouse.
  • Once you have warehoused the data, you can see in the Warehoused Table section, with details like Last Update, Refresh Rate, Table Size, etc. Warehouse sync is done every 12 hours, but you can change the frequency for each table that is warehoused.
  • Datasets are created from the warehoused tables. The warehoused data then divided into two datasets: Shipments and Containers. This helps in cleaning up the data for better evaluation.
  • Shipments dataset combines Shipment, Facility, Workstation, Shipcode, Carrier and Company tables.
  • Container dataset joins Container, Company, Shipment, Container Type, Facility and Carrier tables.

Metrics

  • Grow has created some metrics using these datasets, so you can have an overall picture of what is going on in the Quick Ship end.
  • In the top panel, you can see Actual Freight, Billed Freight, Billed minus Actual Freight, Total Containers, and Total Shipments details.
  • Next, you can see the details for Top Workstations, Top Carriers, Top Facilities and Total Shippers. This gives you information about your top three workstations, carriers, facilities and shippers, along with the total shipment they processed.
  • Next, you have a graphical view of total shipments processed per quarter. You can see when you had peak shipments, etc. Then, you have a breakdown of total shipments by status, carrier, and workstation.
  • In the final panel, you can see two tables. One is Shipment Totals by Facility, Workstation, and Carrier. This records shipment, weight, and freight details for every facility, workstation and carrier. The other is Container by Facility and Type. This table displays total containers for each Container Type for every Facility.

These metrics make up the default dashboard for Quick Ship. You can always add, remove and edit these metrics as you please. The refresh rate for dashboards in 24 hours.

Quick Ship Analytics

In association with Quick Ship, Grow analyzes the shipment data and generates Quick Ship metrics and reports. The Grow dashboards provide a holistic view of the shipment metrics.

Grow supports Quick Ship dashboard templates, which can be used as a starting point for creating new metrics or sharing the dashboard with other users and stakeholders. You can utilize the available templates or design your dashboard using different filters and grouping logic.

Visualizing Quick Ship Dashboards in Grow:

  • Freight Profit -Loss Metrics: This template allows users to compare the carrier’s customer-negotiated rates with the freight rates charged, displaying the net profit or loss in freight costs.

  • Shipping Data and Carbon Impacts: This template compares carbon emissions and shipping data for each carrier based on the shipping route, carrier, or mode, allowing you to make better-informed decisions to limit your carbon footprint while shipping.

Users can perform multiple operations on the datasets and metrics to get the most out of Grow, . You can also add filters at the dashboard level and share these reports with others.
