Simpli.fi is the display, mobile, video, and social platform built for localized campaigns that helps you optimize audiences and maximize performance. Here are a few things you can expect from the Simpli.fi/Grow integration.
NOTE: This data source is only available for accounts on the Basic and Professional plans. If you would like to upgrade your plan, talk to your Grow account manager or visit your account's billing page.
How to Connect
Before connecting please collect your Simpli.fi user key.
- Log in to your Grow account and press Add Metric. Select Simpli.fi from the list of data sources. You’ll need to authenticate your account in order to connect it.
- In order to connect your Simpli.fi account, you will need your Simpli.fi user key.
- To get your user key, log in to your Simpli.fi account. Click on your account or company profile in the upper right-hand corner, then from the menu that pulls down, select User Settings.
- Once you are on this page, go ahead and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There will be a section titled “API Key.” You will see your API Key here. Go ahead and copy this value.
- Paste the value into Grow, and press the blue Submit button.
And that’s it. You are good to go!

Grow can pull any of these reports as long as they have been generated within the Simpli.fi account and scheduled for automatic delivery.
FAQs + Tips and Tricks
Reports are pulled through the Simpli.fi Report Center
This allows for a much higher level of data quality and granularity than the other endpoints in the Simpli.fi API. The caveat is that the most frequent your reports will update is on a daily basis. We strongly suggest scheduling your Report Center reports to auto-generate on a daily basis to keep your metrics as up-to-date as possible.
Daily Metric Refresh
Simpli.fi gives you three options for updating frequency: daily, weekly, and monthly. Even if you don't think you want to look at your reports more than once a week, we strongly recommend setting your reports to update daily. This will give you the most up-to-date data with the lowest risk of complications or incorrect data.
Some reports may be slow
If you create a large report in Simpli.fi, the speed at which it pulls in to Grow may vary. This is because Simpli.fi must first download the report, then parse it into the table in Grow.
Scheduling Automatic Reports
After you’ve created a report in the Simpli.fi Report Center, it requires an automatic delivery schedule to be created before it can be pulled into Grow.
Getting Reports into Grow
Getting your Simpli.fi data into Grow can be a little confusing sometimes. Here, we’ll walk you through how to do this.
Things to be aware of:
- Grow only pulls scheduled reports from the report center in Simpli.fi. (We’ll show you below how to set up a report with a schedule.)
- The most frequent that Simpli.fi will update reports is once a day, around 8:00 CST. Simpli.fi offers three options: daily, weekly, and monthly. This means that if you create a new scheduled report after this time, the data won’t come in until the next day and it will refresh once each day.
Here’s how to schedule a report in Simpli.fi.
First, log in to your Simpli.fi account. Once you are there, click on the teal three-bar menu icon in the middle of the page header. From this menu, select Beta - Report Center under the Analytics section.
Your Report Center shows you a list of the reports that you have created. To create a report, click the teal + Report Template link above the list of reports.
This will bring you to a list of possible reports that you can choose to run or schedule. Go ahead and pick which report you want to run.
Once you click on a report link, it will take you to a page where you can see the data for that report. Make sure the data all looks correct.
Before going to the next step, double check that you have set a date range for your data. This is shown under Filters, directly above your data.
Once you’ve done that, click the three dots next to the Save button. From the menu that pulls up, select View Schedules.
On this page, you can see whatever schedules are set up for that specific report. To add a new schedule, click the teal + Add Schedule link.
The next page is where you can set up scheduling for your report. The most critical settings are the Repeat Schedule and the Format for Delivery options.
Under Repeat Schedule, you have the option of setting how frequently your report will run. Here, you will want to select Daily from the drop-down menu. This will make sure that you have the most updated data pulling into Grow.
Please note that Grow doesn’t have access to the report data until after it has run once in the schedule. This means that if you create the scheduled report after 8:00 a.m. CST, you will not see your data until the next day, when the report runs for the first time.
Under Format for Delivery, select CSV. This will present the fewest complications in pulling the data into Grow.
Unless you want to send the report to other people, you can skip the Email Addresses for Recipients and Webhook Urls for Notifications sections.
The Deliver only if report contains values checkbox is checked automatically. You can leave it checked.
Once you are done, be sure to press Save at the bottom.
You will get the green message above when your schedule has saved.
Now that it has been saved, you will see your report show up in Grow. However, because of the way Simpli.fi is set up, you won’t be able to get your data until the next day.
To get the report in Grow, go ahead and sign in to your dashboard. Press Add Metric, select Simpli.fi from the list of data sources, and authenticate your account.
When you come back to Grow, the category Report Center reports should be selected under the Template Settings.
In the Select Company dropdown, you will see your company as well as a list of all of the companies you manage. The name of your own company will be at the top of the list. Go ahead and select the company that you created the report for. (Simpli.fi by default creates reports for your own company.
Once you have selected your company, a drop-down list for your reports will appear. Go ahead and select the report you want to pull into Grow.
You then have the option of selecting which schedule on the report. (Some reports may have multiple schedules.)
Each schedule has an ID number, which shows up in Grow. You can also find this in the URL of the schedule in Simpli.fi. Grow will normally take the most recent schedule.
If your report has not run yet (i.e. you set it up today after 8:00 CST), you won’t see any data come in.
Once your report has run, your data will pull in to Grow.
