Grow’s Zapier integration is a powerful tool that allows you to access data from a variety of apps. You can set up automated tasks to append data to a dataset you create in Grow. You can then work with that dataset in Grow to visualize, analyze, join your data, and much more. Here is how to set up and use Grow's Zapier integration.
This integration is in a beta phase. Please be aware that we are still making improvements to the app and you may experience instability because of that. Feel free to chat in on our site or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions.
NOTE: This data source is only available for accounts on the Professional plan. If you would like to upgrade your plan, talk to your Grow account manager or visit your account's billing page.
How To Connect
First, log in to your Grow account, then select Add Metric. Select Zapier from the list of data sources, then click the blue Create New Dataset button.
This will produce a pop-up window to appear allowing you to name your Zapier dataset. Go ahead and name your dataset and click Create.
Once you create your dataset, another pop-up window will appear containing a link to create your Zap in Zapier. Go ahead and click on Make a Zap! and remember the name of the dataset you created.
When creating a Zap inside of your Zapier account, the first steps are to name your zap and set up a TRIGGER. Select the app you want to source data from and follow the remaining steps to set up the trigger.
Once the trigger set up is complete, the next step is to set up an ACTION. Search for and select the Grow app. The Grow app only contains one action which is Append to Dataset. Go ahead and click Save + Continue.
Next, connect your Grow account and allow Zapier access. The username and password will be your Grow credentials. Please note that Grow admin user credentials are required in order to connect.
The final step is to set up your Grow dataset. This is where you need to remember the name of the dataset you created inside of Grow. Go ahead and select that dataset and select the fields you want your dataset to include. Each field you add will be a new column in your Grow dataset. To add a new field, click on the + button. Give each field you select a name of your choice. Make sure the name is accurate, descriptive, AND that it only contains letters and/or numbers WITHOUT any special characters.
Great job! You have now successfully set up your Grow dataset in Zapier. Send a test to Grow to make sure everything is working successfully. Then click finish and turn on your Zap.
Finally, go back to Grow and click Done in the Create your Zap pop-up window. You can now click Get Data and begin using your dataset. Your Grow dataset will automatically update according to the trigger you set up.

Depending on where your data is coming from, you can also automate CSV exports through email via Zapier into another data source that Grow integrates with, like Google Sheets or Dropbox.
