Expanded Mode is great for when you want to really drill into a metric and focus on it. You can use it as you present your metrics to a group or as you ask more questions from your data. The improved Expanded Mode makes it easier to see the transactional data behind your charts, as well as export data to CSV for use in spreadsheets.
