No Support Dates Announced for Stored Reports, Spreadsheet Functions, and Metrics/Datasets with 15+ reports
Today we are announcing no support dates for three legacy features. Most of these features are not being used by the vast majority of our customers and in most cases are already inaccessible.
All three of the following legacy features have a no support date of August 1st, 2023.
Please note that while these features will still be accessible after this date (for customers who were already using them), no additional support or development will be provided.
Stored Reports: Released in 2017, this feature was the first version of what we now refer to as Grow’s data warehouse. As of January 2020, the ability to create Stored Reports was turned off for any customers not already utilizing them.
To ensure uninterrupted service, we recommend recreating your Stored Reports using the Grow data warehouse where available or datasets.
Spreadsheet Functions: This feature was our first iteration of the no-code Transforms. As of November 2021, Spreadsheet Functions cannot be added to Datasets and are no longer added to Metrics by default.
Where possible, we recommend leveraging Grow’s no-code Transforms in combination with the Data Explorer to achieve similar outcomes as Spreadsheet Functions with the added benefit of compatibility with features like Dashboard Filters and Dynamic Views.
Datasets & Metrics with over 15 Reports: As of May 2021, customers are not able to add more than 15 reports to a dataset or metric as part of an ongoing effort to optimize performance. Metrics and datasets with more than 15 reports created before May 2021 are still accessible, but may encounter performance issues. For more details about report limits click here.
